Socks and Shawl

Dear Snow,

It was good to finally hear from you.  😉  Glad you saw Jan and Christina at the Michigan Fiber Festival, and love the new yarn that you purchased there.  “Oh Helen” is the perfect name for your new pretty scarf!

I FINALLY finished my RDWD Wine ’em and Dine ’em socks.  I only worked on them at Friday Knit Knights, so they took a while.  I started a new pair with my favorite sock yarn, Opal.

I also finished my Stitch Sampler Shawl. It’s bigger than I thought and will wrap around me a lot. LOL I must have knit it a little looser than most. I loved knitting with the Ella Rae Lace Merino Chunky. It’s so soft.

It’s been really, really hot and humid here, but we are expecting a cool front to come through. It’s raining off and on today. The kids were going to come over and swim, but we postponed it to tomorrow, hoping for better weather.

Hugs and take care<

About snowandroyce

Snow and Royce are friends. For a long time, Snow lived in a Southern state quite near Royce. Then Snow moved back home to the Northern land of her birth. They decided to start blogging just to keep in touch because email, Facebook, and other forms of digital communication just aren't quite enough. Royce has a dog named Joe. She likes miniatures, knitting, her grandchildren, vodka, and gadgets in no particular order. Snow likes knitting, miniatures, and would like to be a voracious reader, if only she could stay awake.
