Sliding Marker, Our Reader, The Weather, and Gas

Dear Royce:

  1. I stumbled across this rather clever way from Primitive Spirit to make a sliding mover for a repeated pattern. It wouldn’t work for the mystery shawl pattern but would be useful at other times. You only need some heavy cardstock, the pattern copied to another piece of cardstock, an Exacto knife, a ruler, a few measurements, and a cutting surface. Optional: Band-Aids, a trip to the ER, and a stiff drink. On the other hand, highlighter tape might work just as well and with less up-front fuss. Still, this is a clever little self-made gadget.

  1. In other news, we do have a reader! She confessed. I like to call her “Dedicated Reader.”
  2. In further other news, the temperature is up to 68 degrees (that’s Fahrenheit).
  3. The price of gas has yet to drop here…it’s still $4.15. I think this is day four. I’m going to stay home until the price eases up. Yep, that means no buying gas, Mr. Price-Gouger Gas Guy, as well as as Your Evil Minions! So There!

Later,

About snowandroyce

Snow and Royce are friends. For a long time, Snow lived in a Southern state quite near Royce. Then Snow moved back home to the Northern land of her birth. They decided to start blogging just to keep in touch because email, Facebook, and other forms of digital communication just aren't quite enough. Royce has a dog named Joe. She likes miniatures, knitting, her grandchildren, vodka, and gadgets in no particular order. Snow likes knitting, miniatures, and would like to be a voracious reader, if only she could stay awake.
