My Puny Swatch

Dear Snow,

Your swatch looks wonderful!  You even followed all the swatch directions and did it right.  My swatch is very puny compared to yours.  See?  I call this my “lazy swatch”.  But, hey, at least I knitted a swatch.  🙂

Since we know that I don’t knit lace, I guess I should just be happy that I actually am trying this. Casting on the 273 stitches took a while, but I did it and also knitted the first lace row. Luckily, I didn’t have any stitches left over or was short of stitches. Yay me! I did, however, have two stitch markers left over. Hope I can figure out where they go. LOL If not, maybe you could send me a picture of your project so far and I can figure it out. Wish me luck…. wish me luck….. wish me luck…..

My ball scarf is finished and I actually like it and plan to wear it. It was a quick, fun knit!  I don’t care if Alicja laughs at it.  😉

Picked lots of Sugar Snap and Snow Peas today.  Quite a crop this year.  We had to freeze some of them.  When they are finished producing, we will plant sweet potatoes in their place.  We had lots of sweet potatoes last year and they were so tasty!  Tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers and lettuce are doing quite well.  Planted head lettuce this year and very happy to see that it’s actually forming heads.  😉

We’re off to Andrea’s today for Burnes’ birthday celebration.  Should be a house full of people and lots of fun.

Hugs, Royce

About snowandroyce

Snow and Royce are friends. For a long time, Snow lived in a Southern state quite near Royce. Then Snow moved back home to the Northern land of her birth. They decided to start blogging just to keep in touch because email, Facebook, and other forms of digital communication just aren't quite enough. Royce has a dog named Joe. She likes miniatures, knitting, her grandchildren, vodka, and gadgets in no particular order. Snow likes knitting, miniatures, and would like to be a voracious reader, if only she could stay awake.
